Accessing a Lumia 535 from Debian jessie via MTP
If you want to access a Microsoft Lumia 535 Smartphone from Debian Jessie, then you will not be able to do that via the provided libmtp libraries. You'll need at least the libmtp libraries from jessie backports.
The cleanest way to do that is to add jessie-backports to your package sources:
# cat /etc/apt/sources.list
...
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian jessie-backports main
...
And then to update all your mtp related packages.
